Kevin's Rant of the Day Emrys' Rant of the Day
And we're still here

Tuesday, January 30, 2007

Despite virtually insuperable technical difficulties, we present you with our second update. I would like it if none of my other equipment would break for a good long time now, thank you very much.

The other day I was thinking about how I essentially do not have a face of my own and feeling ripped off about the whole thing. Virtually everyone I meet tells me I look like a certain famous person, and some of the comparisons border upon ridiculous. At this point, the list of people I share a face with includes (in order of frequency):

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) Frodo Baggins Michael J. Fox (as Marty McFly) David Tennant (the current Dr. Who) James Marsters (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but only when my hair is bleached) A certain American Idol contestant from a couple of years ago. I don't remember who it was. I don't watch television.

The Daniel Radcliffe comparison is frighteningly accurate. We look very much alike. Rather, he looks like me. It was my face first. He should be paying me likeness rights.

So, yeah. I hope you enjoy this comic. I think the drawings came out pretty well. Come back next Monday for the next installment.

The comic will be up later today. I got a new scanner and I'm trying to get acquainted with it. Sorry for the delay.

Every Time We're Late With an Update, God Kills a Kitten

Tuesday, January 30, 2007

Wow, sorry for the long delay in getting the comic to you! If you checked it this morning, make sure you check it again because we've posted the completely finished product instead of the rough copy we had at midnight.

I'm doing all the lettering, and sometimes it can be a lengthy process. Our dialog is always different on the page than it is when we post it. Sometimes we decide that a different word sounds better, sometimes we need more space or have space to fill up, and sometimes we realize something is missing and have to add it.

I really enjoy doing the lettering but the one thing I can't do particularly well is spell. Or grammar... ate. Gram. Yeah. Write I guess is the word. I can't write. :'(

But I try anyway, and sometimes its funny. So Kevin has to critique everything before it goes live, so what we had up this morning was the critique copy. My internet last night was going crazy and it was the only way for him to see it, which was 'round about 1:15am. Classes this morning...

Wait, I don't need to explain myself to you. Read our comic! No Excuses!

What He Said

Monday, January 29, 2007

Edit: Ok, its tuesday morning, and we've got the comic up.

Ha ha, yeah, we're still sorting some of this stuff out. No worries, we'll have things running smoothly here in the next couple of years. Or so...

Please keep reading.
